DJ Die and Addison Groove - Morro Dub Dende

Addison Groove and DJ Die have collaborated for Morro Dub Dende – a track named for a notorious Rio de Janeiro slum and inspired by José Padilha’s 2007 film ‘Tropa de Elite’. It heavily samples the machine-gun mimicking chorus from the 1995 track Rap das Armas by funk carioca duo Cidinho and Doca (included in and widely popularized by the film soundtrack) and merges it with the two British producers’ interests in breakbeat, dubstep and juke. The edited video by Tim & Barry is also based around the movie’s tense opening scenes.
