Clingy and coy, the track pays homage to those desperate caution-to-the-wind moments of intimacy that grab hold of you when you’re absolutely besotted, and the new video simply and sweetly follows suit.

With camera angles that stick to skin like beads of sweat, rolling over extreme close-ups of tiny, delicate touches, the clip feels extremely tender and extremely tense. Building musically towards the choruses by conducting the pitch and tempo of every glance and every finger-twitch to a perfect melody, the kisses of this video explode with all the head-rush glory of Sam’s overjoyed voice and the brothers’ ridiculously fun production combined.

Latch is a great song for its perfect structure, its perfect pattern of tension-and-release, and the video is also great for its simple recognition and reflection of what it is that makes this track such an astounding piece of pop.
