Digits - Street Violence

The video for Digits’ Street Violence is a mini-blockbuster. Set in a dystopian future where society has broken down as a result of gang violence, the clip is all about daft gangs in camp costumes (check the Real Estate Moms). It’s a glorious, barmy mash-up of tropes taken from the flamboyant gang flicks that they just don’t seem to make anymore – add a hint of The Warriors to Carpenter classics Escape From New York and Assault On Precinct 13, then mix with the faintest dash of Streets Of Rage and you’re basically there. Great stuff.
