CYMBALS – Candy Bar

CYMBALS are a jangly, angular art-rock band who make songs with such freshness and enthusiasm it’s like they’ve never heard a jangly art-rock band before. Their first album ‘Unlearn’ was scrappy but adorable, while everything I’ve heard from the new one suggests a group of guys from east London who are happening their pretty, simplest idea-led guitar music and are super happy about it. This new video – directed by a member of fellow bright-eyed rock band Fun Adults – is a summation of their sound, filled with the bright pastels of classic Peter Saville art direction for New Order but with a loveable dorkiness all their own.
