Co La - Make It Slay

Director Andrew Strasser has noted how the option to animate Co La’s track Make It Slay “freed any limits”, but that boundless spirit has a darker side too. Just as the Baltimorean producer twists unlikely sound samples into out of reach shapes, this video deals with computer animation in a pastiche of software tutorials that recoils from CGI perfection rather than embracing it. Strasser also says that the video: “does not glamorize cyber culture, instead it pits fear in idyllic artificial environments” but, creepy or confusing as it may be, it still looks pretty inviting doesn’t it?
