Chet Faker - Archangel (Burial cover)

On the day that sees the release of Burial’s new single Truant/Rough Sleeper (just in time to hit Christmas number 1, FYI), Australian singer-songwriter Chet Faker has recorded a blistering post-rock version of his classic Archangel. Whilst Faker may have changed the form that the original took, he hasn’t stripped away its emotional intensity – but whether that will be enough to convince purists that the song shouldn’t be touched remains to be seen.
