Directed by Fafi, the latest video in Azealia Banks’ ‘Fantasea’ collection is a visual adventure with its tongue firmly in its cheek. After a slew of po-faced, fashion-edged videos, Azealia is back to hitting the same playful nerve in this hallucinogenic clip that her breakthrough hit 212 toyed with so perfectly back in 2011, with its self-consciously lame dancing and goofy faces. The Harlem rapper is at her best when she’s not taking herself, or the game, too seriously, and with its cartoon sharks, pyramid hair and cheesy gyrating dance moves, Atlantis is pure, ridiculous fun.
