Arca - Fluid Silhouettes

Hippos In Tanks producer and Kanye West/FKA twigs producer Arca has teamed up once more with regular visual collaborator Jesse Kanda for another round of brain frazzlery.

Arca and Kanda are a good match for one another, the former's molasses-thick visuals the perfect companion to the latter's stretchy and elasticated synth textures, and this video – titled Fluid Silhouettes and doing exactly as that name suggests – is the expected continuation of their partnership. Produced for designer clothing store SSENSE's Spring 2014 collections, Fluid Silhouettes sees genderless forms contort in their shape and proportion, transforming into what SSENSE describe as "abstract translations of key men's and womenswear silhouettes" and capturing the collection's "forward-looking take on androgyny." All in all, there's a touch of the Chridoffs about it.
