A video for Danny Brown’s ‘Blunt After Blunt’, a typically dark but celebratory track off his mixtape XXX, has been released. In a directorial debut for A$AP Rocky, who makes a brief cameo himself, we see the rapper in his favourite tiger blazer spitting in a badly lit and poorly ventilated room.
The direction is simple but captures the sense of the song well: swerving and slipping in and out of focus in sync with Danny’s flow and creating a hazy, sinister atmosphere with red and white light occasionally piercing through the thick plumes of smoke.
