Two Inch Punch - Up In Your Mix West London producer’s heartfelt love song gets the perfect visual accompaniment.
Dispensing with both narrative and character, computer generated mannequins float in black space in the video to Two Inch Punch’s Up In Your Mix, the lead single from the ‘Love You Up’ EP recently released on PMR Records.
The female figures twist and turn, joining and falling apart as the song picks up and reaches a sparkling crescendo of spliced vocals and ethereal synthesised effects. Director and animator Evan Boehm, who also directed the video to Darkstar’s Gold, has served up a minimal but striking video representation of the song. It perfectly captures the form of the track and its beguiling mixture of cool melancholia and soaring euphoria.
