Ultravox singer and Ballard character made flesh John Foxx has been announced as a headliner at Krakow’s peerlessly cerebral music festival Unsound, and it’s worth spending a minute or five watching his “hit”, 1980’s Underpass, one of the most “synthpop” videos we have ever seen, from the porngraphic close-ups of neon-lit keyboards to the obligatory shots of brutalist motorway architecture.
