Ford & Lopatin - World Of Regret Eat food with Daniel Lopatin and Joel Ford.

Ford & Lopatin’s (formerly Games) long anticipated full-length album, ‘Channel Pressure’, on their own Mexican Summer imprint, Software, drops next week, and here’s the video to World Of Regret, above.

In collaboration with Thunder Horse Video, who have previously done most of Gatekeeper’s sci-fi and horror film-like music videos, Ford & Lopatin present their vibrant and eccentric world in a digitalised paradise that is composed of CGI food.

Following last year’s EP ‘That We Can Play’ on Hippos In Tank, longtime buddies Daniel Lopatin and Joel Ford continue to work on that mechanical 80s pop sound that lived in TV commercials and movie soundtracks. ‘Channel Pressure’ is basically their joint effort in creating an enchanting synthy record that combines smooth and postmodern pop, disco, and R&B, which is loosely based on a storyline about anti-hero teenage Joey Roger, violent robo-jocks, and a record industry run by a super computer. The duo will play their second London live show at The Shacklewell Arms tomorrow, don’t miss.
