This cover of Britney Spears’s new single, the strange-daze epic Till The World Ends surfaced from the usual areas last night, and it’s kind of unbelievable. In fact, would it be too much of a stretch to call them Britney’s inverse – despair mixing with tenderness, a gift for the epic, and flat-lining midwestern blankness of the soul? Brilliant touch to combine it with aching pictures of military maneuvers, as if the ‘post-empire’ vibe was too subtle.
