Water Borders announce debut album 'Harbored Mantras'

The San Francisco electronic duo are due to release their debut LP on Tri Angle this October.

Water Borders are the newest recruits of Tri Angle records, with the San Francisco duo set to release their debut LP on the London label this October. Entitled ‘Harbored Mantras’, it’s intensely inspired by 80s industrial group Coil and the dance music that is often heard on Rinse FM. Water Borders claim that other influences include Gamelan rhythms, proto techno, Scott Walker, African drum patterns, dub, Popul Vuh and Glasser, who designed the album cover artwork and sang on a previous track.

‘Harbored Mantras’ will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital format worldwide on the 10th October via Tri Angle. Water Borders are also giving away a free MP3 – What Wiwant, it’s a disoriented tribal dance track that you can download on the right.
