Ivory Tower is a film by Chilly Gonzales, starring Chilly Gonzales, about an obsessive chess-playing genius, who leaves his native Canada for Berlin and later challenges his commercially successful chess-playing brother to a competition. It’s not that dissimilar – it has been noted – to the lifestory of Chilly Gonzales himself, who is an obsessive piano-playing genius that left his native Canada for Berlin and has a commercially successful brother. It’s screening at Screen on the Green next Thursday. The below video – I Am Europe – hopefully explains the plot.
