TLC biopic in the works

With D’Angelo’s mooted return and the news that VH1 are making a TLC biopic, it’s as if this writer’s DiscMan (circa 1998) were in control of 2012. Writer Kate Lanier (who wrote the 1993 Tina Turner biopic What’s Love Got to Do With It) is working with Chilli and T-Boz to bring the project to screen, the American music channel announced yesterday. This is the first of many TV movies by the channel, though no furhter ones have been confirmed. As Vulture points out, bring on the casting disputes!
