Skepta’s Shutdown nominated for Ivor Novello Award

What a grime to be alive.

The nominees for the Ivor Novello Awards have been announced this morning. 

Skepta has been nominated in this year's 'Best Contemporary Song' category for his 2015 single Shutdown, which will go up against Roots Manuva's Cargo and Snakehips' All My Friends to take the gong at the 61st ceremony which takes place on May 19th at London’s Grosvenor House. In the 'Album Award' category, Jamie xx's debut album 'In Colour' has been nominated alongside Gaz Coombes' 'Matador' and Villagers' 'Darling Arithmetic' - read the full list of nominees here.
