New Omar S album might be out in six days

The first album from the Detroit master since 2005 will apparently be out soon, according to Juno. Be excited.

Detroit’s Omar S has made some of the most interesting dance music of the last few years. The inbuilt funkiness and future facing attitude of Detroit techno filtered through a highly individual world view. His last album was 2005’s ‘Just Ask The Lonely’, and he’s now set to follow it up with a new album on his own FXHE, which will supposedly be out next week.

‘It Can Be Done, But Only I Can Do It’ features some recent previous releases – the technicolour journey that is Here’s Your Trance, Now Dance, Skynet 2 B originally released under his Alex O. Smith alias, and the motoring drive of _Solely Supported – and is otherwise made up of entirely new material. We strongly advise getting hold of this as swiftly as possible. You’re going to want it. So is everyone else.
