New Music: Oscar Jerome - Where Are Your Branches EP
South Londoner Oscar Jerome has injected some real zing into the burgeoning London jazz scene with superb songwriting and musicality, and after touring and projecting his message to the world, he now shares his new EP, Where Are Your Branches?
Produced in part by Jerome, Wu-Lu and Maxwell Owin, the EP draws from Oscar’s own spiritual, personal and ethical beliefs, as well as further illustrating his deep understanding of music. Jazz stylistics and off-kilter song structures find their place littered throughout the EP, which takes in new collaborators such as South London poet, James Massiah – on the previously released 'Smile On A Screen' – and revisits previous hands, including his peers, Moses Boyd and Poppy Ajudha.
