The world of music and beyond has paid tribute to Prince who died yesterday at the age of 57.
The news was initially reported by TMZ before Prince's publicist verified through Twitter that the singer-songwriter passed away at his home Paisley Park in Minnesota. The Carver County Sheriff's Office later issued a press release saying that Prince was found in an elevator and pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m. Today, The Guardian reports that a postmortem will take place to determine the cause of death.
