Imagine you’re an up-and-coming grime MC in 2011. As you look to those who have gone before you, it must be a fairly uninspiring sight. While grime’s founding fathers once broke ground with their brilliant early work, some have turned increasingly mass-market, their current output having very little to do with what made them famous amongst their peers to begin with. There is, however, one shining example of an MC who’s found another route to success but without compromising what makes him so celebrated. It’s Trim.
