LOL Boys no more :(

LA-via-Montreal internet production duo split up.

LA’s Jerome Potter and Markus Garcia from Montreal were primarily an internet-based production duo, going by the name LOL Boys. A piece of sad news has come through yesterday – the duo have announced that they “will be going on hiatus”. ☹

After releasing a bunch of releases on labels like Palms Out Sounds, Discobelle, Friends Of Friends, and Unknown to the Unknown, in which they collaborated with label runners Hot City, LOL Boys will take a break in their music career as a duo. Their final release will be a remix EP of ‘Changes’.

The duo have shared a link to 13 tracks, which they have edited for their recent FADER mix, including Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit Call Me Maybe, Kayne West’s Mercy, Basement Jaxx’s Romeo, and other cuts by R.Kelly, Jeremih, Radiohead, and more.

Jerome, who co-runs Body High music label with Samo Soundboy, will continue as Jerome LOL, while a solo project from Markus is forthcoming on the horizon.

Read Jerome’s official message on LOL Boys’ Facebook page, posted yesterday, below:

We wanted to let you all know that LOL Boys will be going on hiatus. We were lucky enough to play around the world and to meet many of you, and your support will forever be appreciated! As a token of our gratitude here is a link to all of the Edits from the Fader Mix. Our final release will be a Remix EP of “Changes” coming out soon. Be on the look out for Markus’ solo project soon.
