Listen to James Blake's Radio 1 Residency show

James Blake returned to his BBC Radio 1 Residency last night, kicking off his first show in 2016 with members of the 1-800 Dinosaur crew.

During the two-hour long session, James Blake played the title-track from the late David Bowie's recently released album 'Blackstar' and We Are The Dead (from his 1974 album 'Diamond Dogs') back-to-back as a touching tribute to the late great.

Blake was joined by guests Connan Mockasin and Mount Kimbie's Dominic Maker, playing the former's cover of Running Out Of Time (by Rexy) as well as songs by Kode9, Joanna Newsom, DJ Rashad, Aphex Twin, and Airhead.

James Blake is expected to release his third album 'Radio Silence' this year, after confirming the title in a previous episode in 2014. Guests confirmed for the album include Kanye West, Connan Mockasin, and Bon Iver.

Head to BBC Radio 1's website to playback James Blake's residency show and revisit our interview with 1-800 Dinosaur here.
