Listen to Blackest Ever Black's first show on NTS Radio

The doom-laden London label start off their monthly slot in style.

Blackest Ever Black, a home to people like Raime, Prurient and Tropic of Cancer and all round harbingers of doom, began their new NTS show last night – the first of a slot that will fall on the last Wednesday of every month and run from 10pm to midnight.

The label, though only a toddler, has already struck out with an impressive range of releases and mixes that have amazingly bleak titles, sound like steely rain and are wrapped in sleeves that look like some of Peter Saville’s earliest and most austere moments. Their debut show is an expansive trip through their finely tuned aesthetic – with insidious short stories mixed in with abrasive, dubby cuts from the label and further afield. Stream or download it, and cop a load of the tracklist, here.
