Joy O's 2011 YouTube hit Ellipsis due for release, finally

Joy O will release his long overdue single 'Ellipsis' this May on his own Hinge Finger label, forthcoming with a Head High remix.

It’s about time, really. Joy O, the producer of some of last year’s biggest hits such as Sicko Cell and Swims, will finally release Ellipsis in May, forthcoming on Hinge Finger, a label co-run by the south Londoner himself and The Trilogy Tape’s Will Bankhead.

Bankhead announced this piece of exciting news on his Twitter page yesterday. The Source Delight-sampling track originally emerged on Youtube as a radio rip from Boddika’s mix on Benji B’s show in January last year, and has accumulated more than 120,000 plays to date.

‘Ellipsis’ will be Hinge Finger’s second release, following Madteo’s debut ‘Bugler Gold Pt. 1’ 12” that dropped earlier this year. The single will be backed by a highly anticipated remix, delivered by Shed under his Head High alias. If you can’t wait to hear this track, have a listen to his power house reinterpretation of 2562’s Wasteland from last year below and imagine how bombastic the remix of Ellipsis will be…

Hinge Finger will release Joy O – ‘Ellipsis’ on 21st May, 2012. Pre-order is available here.
