Jerome LOL and Samo Sound Boy announce debut album as DJ Dodger Stadium

Body High duo unveil 'Friend of Mine' with a video tribute to Los Angeles.

The co-founders of LA dance label Body High, Jerome LOL and Samo Sound Boy, have announced their debut album 'Friend of Mine' – released under the name DJ Dodger Stadium.

DJ Dodger Stadium actually inaugurated the label with the thick techno EP 'Stadium Status' in 2011but their new track Love Songs suggests a slightly different approach for the album, one that blends Samo's deep, propulsive vibes (here is, for example, a four-hour mix he made for our Dummy mix series) and Jerome's infatuation with europhic dance pop hooks (here is, for example, a song he made that co-opts Afrojack, Steve Aoki and Miss Palmer's No Beef) to great effect. The pair describe 'Friend of Mine' as a "story of a wounded soul's search for redemption and peace" and a "soundtrack for the forgotten corners of [the] city."

You get a great sense of that in the video for Love Songs above, a slo-mo flying shot of an average morning in the MacArthur Park area of LA directed by Daniel Pappas. A stream of the track is also available in the Dummy Player.
