Hear new music from LA PRIEST, aka Late of the Pier's Sam Dust

Discover a new song from LA PRIEST, the first new piece of music since Late of the Pier's marvellous 2008 album 'Fantasy Black Channel'.

LA PRIEST, aka Sam Dust of Late of the Pier, is returning.

Late of the Pier fans were invited via Facebook today to drop a message to a mysterious email address to access Earth Window, an interactive website containing new sounds from Sam Dust's LA PRIEST.

A collection of snippets, sketches, and vocal experiments leading to an untitled new song, this is the first (officially credited) piece of work to appear from Late of the Pier since their 2008 album 'Fantasy Black Channel' and later non-album AA-side single Best In The Class/Blueberry.

LA PRIEST released one single, the incredible and incredibly funky Engine the first release on Erol Alkan's now-quite-established Phantasy Sound label – way back in 2007, and dropped off of doing remix work not long after.

Since then, he produced singles for Egyptian Hip Hop and Hot Horizons, and toured with Connan Mockasin's live band – they even recorded an as-yet-unheard album together.

At the start of the year, he reactivated his dormant Twitter account and promised new music in 2015. It's good to have you back, Sam!
