Field Day announce first batch of names for next summer

The increasingly essential London event will return in May 2013, with performances planned from How To Dress Well, Pangaea and Animal Collective.

What with winter having well and truly enveloped us it does a feel long way off right now, but Field Day have beamed in some early summer cheer by confirming their first wave of names for next year’s event.

Field Day 2012 saw the festival continue to grow in stature, with appearances by Blawan, Kindness and a blitzing set from Modeselektor. It looks like they plan to continue where they left off, announcing a heap of performers that include festival firsts for Animal Collective and TNGHT, appearances from Dummy favourites Vondelpark and Emeralds, and even a set planned from legendary drummer Ginger Baker.

Next summer’s event will be on the 25th May and, as always, will take place in Hackney’s Victoria Park. Read the full list of confirmed names below, and if this first tease of the line-up already has you sold, then head here to book your early bird ticket while they’re still available.
