Dummy Records will release the debut EP by Nao!

London newcomer announces her arrival with debut EP 'So Good', getting a special vinyl release via Dummy Records.

Nao set the internet alight with So Good, her song with A.K. Paul, earlier this year. Within 48 hours it had taken on a life of its own, taking the #1 spot on Hype Machine, being streamed over 100k times (it currently sits just shy of the million mark), got played as part of Zane Lowe's 'Next Hype' on BBC Radio 1, and received nods from the likes of Disclosure, Jacques Greene, Little Dragon, and Chet Faker.

With an early introduction to vocals and harmony from her gospel-hooked mother and a love for soul icon Donny Hathaway and Erykah Badu, Nao takes her vocal influences and combines them with an East London upbringing that saw her witness grime first hand, exposing her to a modern production that has stayed with her and helped form a potent mixture of styles.

Now, Nao is releasing her debut EP, 'So Good', through her own label, Little Tokyo Recordings – and we're super excited to say that it's getting a special vinyl release through our very own Dummy Records!

Written by Nao and co-produced by a mixture of artists – A.K. Paul, William Arcane, John Calvert, and Loxe – the 'So Good' EP leaps forward with old school soul throwbacks and flickers of hip hop and Motown, spliced with a modern production.

Nao will be supporting Little Dragon on tour throughout November and December, and you can peep those dates below. She'll also be playing a special show at Corsica Studios on Deember 11th – you can buy a ticket for that along with the 12" of 'So Good' in a special bundle here.
