DJ Derek reported missing

Bristol legend dubbed 'the UK's oldest DJ' hasn't been seen for three weeks.

The family of DJ Derek, a Bristol legend known as "the UK's oldest DJ", was officially reported missing by his family last night. His neice Jennifer has said that her family has not seen or heard from him in three weeks, and is using social media to appeal the public for sightings.

She wrote: "Has anyone seen Derek in the last three weeks? This is urgent, please let us know. Police are now informed and he is being treated as a missing person."

DJ Derek, 73, is well-known around the UK and particularly in Bristol for his selections in rocksteady, reggae, ska, dancehall, and soul. He retired in 2013.

Anybody with information is encouraged to contact Bristol police or his niece Jennifer.
