D'Angelo releases new album 'Black Messiah'

R&B singer's first album in 14 years is up on Spotify after the shortest album campaign in history.

D'Angelo has released his third album 'Black Messiah', his first in 14 years.

So basically, a third D'Angelo album has been promised and hinted at for a few years now, with the R&B artist's manager promising earlier this year that the album would arrive in 2014. Although we're only a couple of weeks away from the year's close, he has made good on that promise: on Friday evening a photo circulated of D'Angelo's new album 'Black Messiah' in a jewel case. And then on Sunday the first song from the album went online and then, now, it's actually, literally, available to listen to. From announcement to full stream in three days: that's quite a record.
