Central London club Cable opens sister venue

500-capacity space "Relay" will be built out of London Bridge club's third room.

Cable, a rare example of a London club with a decent size, soundsystem and booking policy, has done so well in the three years they’ve been open that a new space will open next door. Under the name Relay, the space – originally the club’s third room – wil fit 500 clubbers, and will be powered by a Nova soundsystem. A free-standing space capable of hosting bands as well as DJs, it will occasionally still operate as a third room.

The venue’s Ryan Ashmore says: “Transforming this additional and underused space into a fully-fledged sister venue is a natural progression for Cable. It’s really exciting to have already reached a stage where we are expanding, despite not even having reached our 3rd birthday!”
