The hunt for the best artwork of the summer is over

Wolf Eye's Aaron Dilloway and Jason Lescalleet's outstanding noise record 'Grapes & Snakes' has a stunning cover.

PAN, the German label and visual design project that leads the world in releasing outstanding avant garde music with incredible sleeves has hit a highwater mark with their release of ‘Grapes & Snakes’, the new record from Wolf Eye’s Aaron Dilloway and general experimental Maine man Jason Lescalleet.

The record is composed on tapes machines and primitive recordings, and sounds utterly beautiful and totally flooring in a primordal and threatening way, and is illustrated by this awesome picture of a big snake under water. Cleverly, it’s housed in an opaque bag screen-printed with op-art on one side and the details on the other. Record labels take note – this is the new standard.
