Bjork headlines Bestival Icelandic icon will play the closing night of Rob Da Bank’s festival.
Bestival has announced that Bjork will headline the Sunday night of this year’s Isle of Wight fancy dress party. Somewhat unbelievably, it will be the Icelandic artist’s only outdoor festival appearance in the world this year. She will play both back catalogue favourites as well as new music from ‘Biophilia’, her latest album and art project – the latter of which opened last night at Manchester’s International Festival. She’ll be bringing the instruments she created for ‘Biophilia’ with her, including a huge pendulum and a giant Tessla coil, as well as an award-winning Icelandic female choir.
