Rene Hell - Med School Prince [MP3]

Rene Hell, the primary project of musician Jeff Witscher, has been applying the tight control and orchestral grandeur of classical composition to noise with staggering results. Last year’s ‘Porcelain Opera’ and this year’s ‘The Terminal Symphony’ the most enigmatic of those. He’s also released a record as one member of the 100% Silk-signed Cuticle. Med School Prince is from his latest release, a tour tape titled ‘The Cannon’, out now on Arbor. It’s a sprawling ten minute live recording, which proves that even when he loosens up and sinks more in to jam mode, his work is still capable of taking one on a beautifully sculptural, mind-frazzling journey.
