Premiere: GoldLink - Spectrum (Redlight remix)

For the better part of the last two years, Washington rapper GoldLink has been garnering hype for all the right reasons, with his self-labeled “future bounce” sound placing him firmly within his own lane of the rap world. His album ‘And After That, We Didn’t Talk’, which was greatly received on its release earlier this month, is a party-perfect blend of choppy beats, anthemic raps and club-ready beats.

Missy Elliott sample led album track Spectrum was cherrypicked by Annie Mac as her coveted ‘Hottest Record In The World’ and also received countless plays across Radio 1 and 1Xtra plays. Not stuttering in its momentum, seasoned Bristol bass-head Redlight takes up the remix duties on Spectrum, dropping out the Missy sample to let GoldLink take centre-stage over a bumpy bass lick that's bound to drive dancefloors wild way into the new year.
