Premiere: Applescal - Spring and Life

You don’t really expect it. It all starts out with a nice groove with warm pads and a bassline that drifts unassumingly into your ears. It drops into something louder and heavier, but so do a lot of tracks. But then the halfway point hits, and it hits hard. Things get noisy. The unassuming bassline hasn’t left your ears, and it’s hammering around in your skull. The bass starts to weigh down on you. Yet when it’s over, you just want to listen again.

Spring and Life is a new track from Dutch producer Applescal, taken from his upcoming (very good) album ‘Dreaming in Key’. Stream it in all its unpredictable glory below.
