Omar S - High School Graffiti [MP3]

This week it seems to have come out just how prolific Omar S is. Not only has it been announced that his album ‘It Can Be Done, But Only I Can Do It’ will be out next week (details here), but now Scion A/V are allowing you to download his entire EP for the label for free. ‘High School Graffiti’ is five tracks of powering, mechanical, sprung soul, one of them a collaboration with fellow Detroit wonder Theo Parrish. It’s really, really good, proof that Omar S is well ahead of the game, his easy grasp of rhythm, the kinetic energy his songs swing with stronger than just about anything else out there. Appetites whetted for the album then.
