Om Unit teases his new bent d'n'b EP for Metalheadz.
Om Unit isn't one to stick too heavily to genre - just check out his mindbending 'Footwork Jungle' EPs as Philip D. Kick, which did exactly as they said on the tin, re-imagining classic jungle as footwork tracks - so it's no surprise to hear that his forthcoming EP dabbles in drum and bass. What is a surprise is that it's coming out on legendary d'n'b label Metalheadz.
Grey Skies Over Chicago follows on from the already-previewed Sleepwalkers and is a really interesting track, taking the drum and bass template and mixing it with a swing and drum arrangement that is heavily informed by the Chicago footwork sound. Stream a clip on the left hand side.
