If you wanted to get our attention, you could do worse than this: Kimbie, Krule, Oneman and Jae, together on one track.
If you wanted to stick a load of Dummy-friendly artists into one remix title, you could do worse than this: Mount Kimbie, King Krule, Oneman and Jeremiah Jae are all together on this remix of You Took Your Time, originally taken from Mount Kimbie's second album 'Cold Spring Fault Less Youth'.
Oneman is one of the best DJs in the game right now, but he doesn't have much history as a producer - he released some edits earlier this year, and has collaborated with Toddla T, but that's about it. This remix seems to be him taking a step further into the production game. It's not the most game-changing remix but it doesn't feel like it was ever meant to be, a fairly straightforward hip hop inflected rework that keeps the spirit of the original intact. Jae's guest verse doesn't add much, but nor does it take anything away.
Mount Kimbie recently performed a live set for Gilles Peterson's show on BBC Radio 6music, bringing King Krule along for the ride. Jeremiah Jae, meanwhile, announced that he'd signed to Warp with a new mixtape.
