The resurgent No Limit's new top trio drop a confectionery-based thumper.
In case you didn’t know, the legendary No Limit tank is properly back – with founder Master P promising both a new mixtape and album earlier this year under a refreshed No Limit Forever imprint. What’s even better is P also announced the formation of a new group called the Louie V Mob with Atlanta street fixture Alley Boy and DC star prospect Fat Trel, two rappers who can more than hold their own but could really benefit from the structure and support an independent like No Limit can provide.
Most importantly, they can make some great music – like the strip-club romp Kit Kat Bars released over the weekend. As with previous tracks B.N. or No Way Jose and the general No Limit M.O. it’s pretty simple but very effective. Master P still has a great tone and way with words that – unlike other self-made moguls like Birdman or Diddy – brings more than the bare force of his personality and experience to a record, his bellows interspersed with Alley Boy’s ooOO and a typically pummeling verse from Trel. The new group’s first batch of official tracks will feature on Master P’s upcoming ‘Al Capone’ mixtape.
