Listen: Novelist - Street Politician

Last month Novelist uploaded a new track on his Soundcloud account titled David Cameron Riddim – a beat he made chilling with his grandad on a Saturday night. As it happens, the song provided a hint of what was to come next: a new track released today in which London's Rudeboy takes aim at the Prime Minister with the Nick Hook co-produced track Street Politician.

The brutal new song samples Cameron's speech in the wake of the 2011 riots in London and other major U.K. cities. Amongst police sirens and handclaps, a loop of Cameron saying "Keeping people safe is the first duty of Government" plays as the chorus, with “Fuck these feds, they don’t give a damn about the mandem” serving as Novelist's reply.
