The Detroit duo showcase melancholy sounds with their multi-genre cut.
Detroit-based duo Gosh Pith describe their new song Gold Chain (premiering below) as “a ratchet love song about the constant conflict between the meaningful and the meaningless." As the first preview of a new EP coming in early 2016, Josh Smith and Josh Freed distill this opposition through their multi-genre appreciation - with signifiers of hip-hop, electronica, and rock all encompassed in their sound. Trembling guitars aid Smith's melancholy vocals who switches between scatting and singing while his ally provides a simple percussive backdrop. As far as cliches go, it's an ideal soundtrack to stay in your bedroom all day and just let the cold breeze by.
