Pulled off the wire twenty minutes ago is this wonderful remix of Kodiak’s Spreo Superbus by Actress. Taking the Kodiak dance track into far stranger textures, somewhere between the elegiac synths of Japan and the deep R&B of SWV, it’s a terrific sign that the best days of the London producer are ahead of him. Considering the quality 2010’s oft-imitated, never bettered album ‘Splazsh’ [Honest Jon’s], that’s quite something. Actress will release his third album ‘RIP’ on Honest Jons this Spring, while Numbers are putting out Kodiak Spreo Superbus is out on the 5th March 2012.
