Close, a collective of well-known artists who intentionally remain anonymous (with the exception of Scuba) have done another remix.
At the end of last year, Close emerged as a collective of rather famous artists, we believe, who wish to remain anonymous. All we know so far is that Hotflush label boss Scuba is involved. Having previously remixed Little Dragon’s Crystalfilm as well as Scuba’s ‘Adrenaline’ B-side Never, Close is gradually pulling together their debut album, which features a series of musical alliances and collaborations with some of the most exciting producers, musicians and vocalists out there. It’s been revealed that ‘Getting Closer’ LP will include contributions from Appleblim, Ewan Pearson, Charlene Soraia, and Joe Dukie of Fat Freddy’s Drop. It’s due for a release later this year, with release date yet to be confirmed.
Close have recently remixed Brighton-based producer Fink – Perfect Darkness, which can be downloaded below. If you, like us, can’t wait to hear ‘Getting Closer’, head over to Close’s website to hear preview clips of three tracks from the album. Close will be changing the clips frequently so make sure you sign up for their newsletter to get the latest updates.
