El Perro Del Mar - Hold Off The Dawn (Vessel remix)

Young Echo crew member Vessel has turned in a new remix – placing a dark, dank hand over Hold Off The Dawn, from Swedish artist El Perro Del Mar’s ‘Pale Fire’ LP from last year. Vessel, whose Tri-Angle debut ‘Order Of Noise’ turned many heads last year, is a producer who seems to have found his effectiveness by remaining on the peripheries of techno and dark ambience – and this remix is another good encapsulation of that. Growling, muddled beats lumber about within a dubby spaciousness, with Vessel manipulating the original’s melancholic vox to chilling effect.
