Air – Seven Stars (featuring Victoria Legrand)

Victoria Legrand of Baltimore pop band Beach House sings on Seven Stars on Air’s new album, ‘La Voyage Dans La Lune’. Her breathy, dreamy vocals will be familiar to Beach House’s fans, although the album, soundtrack to a restored 1902 silent French film, is somewhat of a departure from Air’s typical electronics. Taking their lead from the George Melies film, Air’s Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel have gone for a more organic sound, playing their instruments live for an album that feels ‘handmade and a bit knocked together’.
