A$AP Rocky - Long Live A$AP

We’ve already heard the 2Chainz hook-rich Fuckin’ Problem, and the A$AP Mob main man pig out with a sextet of guest raps for 1Train the latest new cut from A$AP Rocky’s long awaited debut now comes in the form of the title track and album opener, LongLiveA$AP.

After all the recent heavyweight guest slots (Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Danny Brown to name a few), the Harlem rapper’s all on his own for Long Live A$AP. After some drawn out thunder samples kick things off dramatically, he’s straight in with a couplet that plays on a familiar pull between reflection/excess: “I thought I’d prob’ly die in prison/Expensive taste in women”. The snarling Jim Jonsin and Rico Love-produced beat stands out for the eerie falsetto in the chorus, and signals that ‘Long.Live.A$AP’ has Rocky going in dark and deep from the start. He’s shared on Twitter that the video for Long Live A$AP will drop this Sunday.

Sony will release ‘Long.Live.A$AP’ on the 14th January
