JODY - Echoes Get in the sway way to the outrageously sultry sounds of this new Chicago R&B group produced by The-Drum.

Spring is definitely coming. You know what I mean: those sideway glances in the street through welcome strips of sunshine, those sly eye smiles; something earthier than romance. JODY sure know it. Produced by Dummy favourites The-Drum, JODY are a new R&B group from Chicago featuring the vocal talents of David Robertson, Khallee Standberry-Lois, James King (who also records as TheGTW) and currently-absent-overseas fourth member Cole Johnson who we’ve written about before in his Wih’lo production guise. Echoes is their first missive and it’s sultry as hell, with all the sensual texture The-Drum made their own on releases like SYS. JODY’s voices intertwine, flowing in and out of effects in a seductive slow-dance. You might notice a seemingly female vocal in there too but apparently that’s Jeremiah from The-Drum pitched up. Keep your ears peeled for a mixtape later in the year.

Jody’s self-titled mixtape will be released later this year. Also listen out for The-Drum’s album on Audraglint coming soon.
