Vessel - Scarletta Latest Tri Angle signing is a Bristol producer delving deep into noise and bass.
Bristol producer Vessel (Seb Gainsborough) first came to our attention (grab an exclusive track here) last year with his brilliant debut EP ‘Nylon Sunset’, the first release on promising London label Left_Blank. Despite there being no shortage of Bristol producers showing interesting ways with bass, Vessel’s work stands apart. He’s clearly attuned to ambient and noise, his compositions walking the line between dancefloor weight and singular electronic experimentation, much as someone like Actress manages to do.
Therefore, it seems fitting that his debut album will be coming out on Tri Angle records (Balam Acab, How To Dress Well, oOoOO, Holy Other) later this year. We’re not sure of any other details about the release just yet, but this new track Scarletta by him has just been put up, and it will apparently be appearing on the Tri Angle LP. Also below, you can hear a new track called Mettle which he posted to his Soundcloud page a few days ago.
